Anfield Stadium
Anfield is one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world. It has been the Red’s home ever since the club’s formation in 1892.
In recent years, Anfield has undergone significant development with the construction of its new main stand, which increased the seating capacity from around 54,000 to 62,500 seats, making it one of the biggest stadiums in England.
LFC Legends
Robbie Fowler is considered one of the greatest goal scorers in Liverpool Football Club history. The local lad rose through the ranks of the Reds’ Academy to break into the first team at the age of 17. He went on to score 183 goals in 369 appearances over the course of two spells for Liverpool FC and was a crucial part of the treble-winning team of 2001.
Ian Rush holds the prestigious accolade of Liverpool’s all-time record goal scorer. Signed from Chester City in 1980, the Welshman fired 346 times for the Reds in 660 games during the course of two spells with the club. He also lifted five league titles, one European Cup, three FA Cups and five League Cups with Liverpool FC, making him one of the most decorated players in Liverpool FC history.
Gary McAllister was something of a shock signing by Gerard Houllier in the summer of 2000, when he then 35-year-old joined on a free transfer from Coventry City; However, during the course of his two years in Liverpool FC, he firmly etched himself into club folklore. The scot was instrumental in the treble-winning success of 2001, scoring a series of crucial goals en route to trophy glory at home and abroad.
